Hello and welcome to Animal Allies! My name is Abeer Shoaib and I am the board member for Animal Allies this year! This project provides the best opportunities to work and play with animals.
With Animal Allies, you get to interact with animals of all sorts of personalities. Whether it is energetic batches of puppies, playful kittens, or friendly dogs, time spent volunteering with Animal Allies is never boring. I’ve worked with many animals since I started volunteering with Animal Allies, and it is not an opportunity that I would want anyone to miss.
Animals Allies is run by an organization named Pet Adoption League or PAL and they are open every Saturday from 10:00 a.m- 4:00 p.m. They usually run in two shifts from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m and from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. PAL is located on 71st and Mingo and you’ll find them at the back of the PetSmart. Once you’re there, just check-in at the table, tell them you’re a volunteer, and then pick up a name tag!
This year due to Covid-19, volunteering will look a little different. It is asked that when you volunteer, you wear a proper mask and keep it on. We will also be limiting volunteers to only two per shift in order to limit close contact. I also want to ask that, when signing up, you don’t sign up for every slot so that everyone will have a chance at volunteering.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, though I’ll primarily respond if you email me at email@example.com or text me on the Remind (to sign up for the Remind, text @cka92g8 to 81010). If needed, you can contact the president of PALS, Sherri Hardy, at 918-605-0339.
Hope to see you there!!!
