Operation School Bell Interpreters

Next Thursday, October 25, JEE needs 3 Zomi/Burmese & 2 Spanish interperters from 3:30-6:30pm (or as soon as you can get there after school) at the Walmart at 81st Lewis for Operation School Bell event.

Tulsa Bubble Run

Key Club volunteers (16 and older) are needed at the Tulsa Bubble Run, Friday, October 19th and Saturday, the 20th.

You would be able to help set up for the run, help check in runners, direct runners on the track, or other activities. (more info in link)

Location: Tulsa Raceway Park – 3101 N Garnett Rd, Tulsa, OK 74116

Date: October 19th and 20th, refer to the signup link at the bottom of the post for more details.

Bubble Run- welcomes volunteers age 16 and older. If the you are below the age of 18, you MUST have an adult supervisor (parent, teacher, guardian, or club director). No volunteers under age 16 are allowed, for safety and logistics.

Everyone must sign a Volunteer Code of Conduct. If you are 16-18 years old, you must have that signed by a parent.

Organizing Supplies for “Stuff the Bus”

The local Reasor’s has provided three pallets of school supplies as a result of their ‘Stuff the Bus’ campaign. These supplies are for teachers all over the district.

Key Club volunteers are needed to come to the Jenks School Warehouse, 2065 N. Elm Street, before school and help to unpack, sort and stack these product onto tables. 4-8 volunteers are needed and you would set up tables, move boxes and bags of materials, sort like materials together to prepare for teachers to tour and select items they want.

It will be at 7:00 am before school on Tuesday, October 23, you would work until it is finished or by 9am at the latest. (it is a 3 minute drive from the high school)

Also,  donuts, juice, and milk will be provided to the volunteers!

JHS needs volunteers to help direct parents to classrooms!

When? Mon. (Oct. 15th) & Tues. (Oct. 16th) from 5:00 – 8:30 PM (3 shifts)

Signup Link HallowMarine

The sign-up webpage for the upcoming HallowMarine is now live, and you can sign up to volunteer for any of the five nights of festivities!  I have the link listed below.  HallowMarine starts on October 27th and ends on October 31st.  This is a great opportunity to have fun while volunteering.  They will need a lot of help manning candy, game, and activity stations.

Volunteer Aide (JHS)

Hey guys! Many teachers need periodic help with regular tasks!

What do volunteers do? Grade papers, organize materials, clean classrooms, & more!

When? Every week during Wednesday Advisory, various days after school, etc.

How do I sign up? Through a google docs so that you are able to sign up for the teacher(s) you want to help with! It will constantly update so that both students and teachers know who needs volunteers and who is already helping! You can always ask your teachers if they need help!

Mini Laps

This is an event where students from The Little Light House make one lap around the track while announcers state all of the accomplishments and progress that the student has made throughout the year. This is a fundraiser for The Little Light House. We will need volunteers for set up, parking, directing traffic, helping with the carnival, and clean up. If you need any more information my email is

Math Tutoring

Hey guys! Mr. Rehanek needs volunteers that can help tutor math!

What do you do? Help tutor students up to Pre-Calculus. It is preferred that you have completed an Algebra II course, however anyone can help!

When are the tutoring sessions?

  • Tues. & Thurs. Before School from 8AM – 9AM
  • Wednesdays After School from 4PM – 5PM

Where is it? Mr. Rehanek’s Classroom, Building 6 Room 6135

Veterans Day Concert

Students with diverse backgrounds are needed to participate in a Veteran’s Day concert at the PAC on November 7 and 8. (This is not the same Veteran’s Day assembly that the high school presents during Advisory. It is a concert presented by Jenks East Elementary.)

You will wear traditional clothing (if applicable) from their country and will speak one line in your non-English native language. The line will be, “Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me.”

Students from many different language backgrounds are needed: Arabic, Burmese, Hindi, Chinese, Korean, Zomi, French, Russian, Spanish, ASL, or any other background.

You will need to perform during these times at the high school PAC:

·         Wednesday, November 7 during 1st and 3rd hour

·         Thursday, November 8 during 1st and 2nd hour

·         Thursday, November 8 7:00-8:30 PM

Key Club Shirts!!!

Key Club T-shirts are in!

If you have not received your Key Club t-shirt and you are a freshman, you can pick up your shirt from Ms. Morris – FA 2314.

If you have not received your Key Club t-shirt and you are a sophomore through senior, you can pick up your shirt from Mrs. Langley – Math and Science 216.

You are welcome to pick up your shirt before school, between classes, or during Advisory on Wednesday. Please do NOT interrupt class to pick up your shirt. Please pick up your shirt by Friday, October 5th.


****Remember, if you wear your Key Club shirt to the general meeting each month, you can get an extra point****
