Summer Volunteer Opportunities

Hey Key Clubbers,

If you are looking for some great ways to help out the community throughout this summer here are some opportunities that you have to check out.

DVIS (Domestic Violence Intervention Services): At DVIS there are many ways that you can help out including being on the Youth Advisory Council where you are able to learn about advocacy for victims of domestic violence and many other opportunities. The Little Light House: This organization helps children with special needs in many ways including teaching them, performing tasks for them, and just having fun with them. Discovery Lab: This organization works to help spread education and create a passion for STEM in children. By volunteering here you can help out during special events and guide children as they learn about everything STEM. May Food Bank Event

Attention Key Clubbers! There is a volunteer opportunity at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma for the sorting and packaging event.

The event will be on May 4 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. If you want to volunteer you must create an account and register for the event if you haven’t volunteered at the Food Bank. Each volunteer needs to sign up 3 days prior to the event! Wear layered loose, comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are required for safety.

April General Meeting (Last One This Year)

Hey Key Clubbers,

Our final general meeting of the 2021-2022 school year is this Thursday, April 28th. Please make sure to be there by 8:45 for the morning meeting, or 4:00 for the afternoon meeting. We will be discussing some big events going on in May and this summer as well as ideas for next year to make key club even greater. WheelChair Racing!!! (Updated)

Hey Key Clubbers,

The Center For Individuals With Physical Challenges, is hosting wheelchair racing every Thursday from April 7th until June 2nd, (4/7-6/2). This program will be taking place @ 815 S. Utica Avenue for the first few weeks and then will be moved to the Jenks track here at our school. They are in need of a few volunteers each week to help work during this super fun event. If you are interested in volunteering please contact mcrossno@tulsacenter.org so that she can help you get signed up for this event. Happy Volunteering.

Update on Big Event Aquarium Volunteering!

For anyone planning on volunteering at the Oklahoma Aquarium for the Big Event this weekend, there will be some road closings going on that day, so you will need to come in from the south side (turnpike) as Aquarium Pl. and the north side of Aquarium Dr. will be closed.

I’d strongly encourage any Aqua-Teens to come volunteer! If you have any questions about volunteering, how to become an Aqua-Teen, etc., please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Big Event-Classroom Cleanout @JHS

Where: Mr. Williams’ Classroom 5204

When: April 2nd @12pm

Why: Come help Mr. Williams get some spring cleaning done! He’d love some happy volunteers to pitch in and help tidy up his classroom.

How: Just show up!!!

Big Event!

Hey Key Clubbers!

Big event is this Saturday April 2nd! We will be meeting up at the Jenks High School Senior parking lot at 1pm to pick up trash. This parking lot is full of trash and we will be able to make our campus look so much more clean and pretty!

I will be bringing snacks and drinks for everyone so we will have a lot of fun cleaning up the parking lot! I will also provide trash bags. I won’t have enough gloves for everyone so feel free to bring your own if you would like gloves!
