The Kiwanis Christmas Parade will take place on November 19 at 10:00 AM but line up will begin at 9:30 AM in the Building 6 parking lot. We will walk through Main Street holding Key Club signs, singing Christmas carols, and handing out candy to children. Each decorated poster you bring that highlights Key Club or holiday festivities will award you 1 point and attendance in the parade will award you 2 points. If you have any questions, be sure to email email@example.com.
Share the Warmth!
Pick up a key in Mrs. Langley’s room (JMASC 216). Each key has a child’s age, gender, and short Christmas wish list (coat, hat, pair of gloves, and a book). You will receive FOUR POINTS for each returned key with the items. If you are wanting to split the list with a friend, we can award you a proportion of the points.
The gifts are going to low-income kids at an elementary school that doesn’t have a bus system and are in need of warm clothes. And amidst the holiday season, it only makes sense to help those in need and spread holiday cheer.
Thank you for your service and participation!

Hi everyone! If you don’t know, along with being a board member in Key Club I am also an officer in robotics. The robotics team hosts and volunteers at many events. We have had a very busy couple of weeks with events almost every weekend. Jenks Robotics is hosting the FIRST Lego League (FLL) Qualifier November 19th, 2016. FLL is a robotics event for kids in the 3rd-8th grade. In the off chance that one of our members is not able to volunteer, we are asking Key Club members to sign up. If we do need your help volunteering, we will contact you prior to the event. All jobs will be explained when we contact you. Nothing will be hard and we know you can do it! We would really appreciate the help. All information can be found on the attached google doc.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at email@example.com
There will be a general meeting this Thursday, November 10 at 7:15 AM and 2:45 PM located in the Building 6 auditorium. Please attend either one for 1 point!
I’d like to send out a big thank you to everyone that signed up to volunteer! However, I’ve recently been informed that only 4 people will be allowed to volunteer at each meet. It’ll be first come first serve, unfortunately. I am so sorry for the inconvenience, but I hope everyone will still enjoy volunteering!
I have an amazing volunteering opportunity for you. As we all know, Thanksgiving is coming up. We are so excited for turkey, mashed potatoes and home cooked food. Well, not everyone gets a chance to experience that. Especially those who are homeless. In order to help people who normally wouldn’t be able to celebrate this holiday, we are going to bring it to them.
The Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless is a wonderful organization that lets groups come in and serve food to about 150 homeless people in Tulsa. We have set up a date to do this. Wednesday November 23rd, 2016. This is during our break, so some of you will be out of town. For those of you who will be in town, I urge you to sign up for this! It is a fantastic opportunity to not only do service, but help someone have a good holiday.
More information can be found in the google doc link below. Please take a moment to look over that and hopefully sign up! If you have any questions, please email me.
Hey Key Clubbers, on Monday October 24th I will begin collecting donations for the goody bags for children cancer patients at St. Francis Hospital. We will be collecting scarves, hats, head scarves, books for children-teens, art supplies (crayons, colored pencils, sketch books, etc.), and any small trinkets like stuffed animals and the like. For every 2 items donated you will receive a point, I will also be collecting cards and letters if you would like to write words of encouragement, every two of these will also be a point. Please bring your items to room 216 in the Math and Science Center (Mrs. Langley’s Room). Put all the items in a bag labeled with your name, ID number, and grade. The drive will end that following friday and we will be putting these things into goody bags and taking them to the Children’s Cancer Ward at another date to be announced. Thank you, I hope you all participate in this project. If you have questions email firstname.lastname@example.org, or text (918)740-9934.
