Volunteer reading books to elementary kids

Here’s a safe and easy way to get volunteer hours. Just take a video of yourself reading a children’s book and send it to any of the emails below. This video could be shown to some classes for elementary students kindergarten through 4th. Normally these teachers would like volunteers to come into class and read to these students, but due to COVID, a video of yourself reading is a safe and easy equivalent to reading to these students. Send your video of you reading to any of these emails.

Consider helping for Family Night at Jenks West Elementary – Bld. F. When? November 5. There will be a community fair with several organization in attendance and even a petting zoo. (Port of Catoosa, The Met, Tulsa City County Library, Ag in the Classroom, Jenks HS FFA, Oklahoma Soybean Council, and Up with Trees.) Use the following link to sign up to volunteer.

Bingo Night Updated

Hello everyone, this is for people who sign up for Bingo night.

Jenks West Elementary has changed the location for their game night. It will be in Jenks High School cafeteria and the same time as Middle school. You can also see on the sing up genius. Please wear your club T-shirt when you come to volunteer there. Have fun there!!

Jenks West Elementary Bingo Night

Volunteer at Jenks West Elementary School

There are parents meeting at Jenks West Elementary School. They need 4 volunteer students at Jenks West Elementary school on August 27, 28, and 30. The volunteer students will do a translator for Zomi/Burmese students’ parents. If you would like to volunteer in here, please sign up on google docs below here. We need 10 volunteers at Jenks West Elementary for Zomi/Burmese translators on August 14, 2018(Tuesday). There are two shifts. We need 10 people in the morning and about 5 people in the evening. If you would like to volunteer, please sign up below the google docs.

  2. Stuffing Meet the teacher folders.  Items will be collated, so this process should be pretty easy.

Hi, everyone! Mrs. Burnham from JWE would like to put a request for Key Club volunteers. She has word sorts that need to be cut apart and put in baggies. This is a project that can done at school or home. If you need hours of service, please let her know ASAP!!!

Nights of Wonder

Hi, everyone! JWE would love to have your support on upcoming event, Nights of Wonder on November 7 (WE, Buiding E) and November 9 (WE, Building F Cafeteria), 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. They will be doing a STEM activity and have their book fair open. They’d love to have your assistance in working with families!

Also, Mrs. Brown from JWE needs a few Chinese, Spanish, Zomi/Burmese interpreters to assist the ELL families for each night on Nov. 7th and Nov.9th. If you are interest in helping to interpret for ELL families, please sign up at the SignUp Genius link:
