The Jenks Senior Class’ fall fundraiser: Pumpkin Palooza needs volunteers. It will be on Friday, October 13 from 4-8pm and Saturday, October 14th from 9am-2pm in the grassy field located between the math and science center and the cafeteria – just off the oval. On Saturday, October 14th, Jenks will be hosting “Art on Main” on Main Street. The event is in need of volunteers to help monitor artists’ tents, do trash control, and assist artists with setup and teardown. There are two shifts from 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.

World In A Box Day needs 8 volunteers for each shift on August 5th: 9am-1pm, 12:30pm-4:30pm, and 9am-4:30pm. The event will be held at the Central Library (5th St and Denver Ave: 400 Civic Center Tulsa, OK 74103) in the Pocahontas Greadington Learning & Creativity Center. There will be free parking in the library parkade. World In A Box Day promotes the use of Tulsa Global Alliance’s Culture Boxes and will need volunteers for storytelling to kids, to help with setup and breakdown, to help with check-in, handouts, passing out surveys, and possibly to help with the booths. The Community Aerospace Night needs volunteers to help hand schedules and “man” stations all over the Jenks Math and Science Center on May 20th. There will be a variety of fun projects, shows in the planetarium, and scheduled activities that need volunteers to help them run smoothly. The same people that came to Jenks with NASA in January will be here again!
There will be a shift from 4-7 that will help set up and kick off the event and a shift from 7-9:30ish to help with the event and tear down.
This is a great opportunity to get school DSG hours too!

The annual Kiwanis led Trash Bash is in need of two volunteers for the following shifts: 8-10, 10-12, 12-2, and 2-4 on May 13th. Please volunteer with a friend for this project! The Kiwanis sponsors Key Club and provides money for scholarships. If you applied for a scholarship or want to in the future, this would be a good start to getting to know some of the Kiwanis members. At the Trash Bash you help collect money and direct traffic for the people coming to dump some of their unwanted items. It will be held on the east side of South Lakes Golf Course on Main St and Locust.
